Description
This class meets all Federal Highway Administration, MUTCD, USDOT, and Fed OSHA flagger training requirements. Upon completion of this class, students will be able to:
- Describe why proper flagger operations are important.
- List the abilities of a good flagger.
- Use standard references as they pertain to flagger control.
- Demonstrate proper flagger signals and procedures.
- Understand various flagger practices for different situations.
Hands-on exercises include:
- Demonstrating proper flagger techniques
- Laying out a flagger zone
- Communicating with irritable drivers
- Conducting a traffic assessment to determine the layout of a temporary traffic control zone.
