Scaffolding Competent Person

This class covers OSHA’s 1926.450 requirements for working on scaffolding. Students will learn the duties of the competent person inspecting the scaffolding in, hazards, proper access, fall protection requirements, types of scaffolding, anchorage, and much more.

Hands-on exercises include inspection of scaffolding, calculating scaffolding load capacities, and erecting a single or two-stage scaffold (if feasible).

Upon successful completion of the written examination, students will receive a competent person certification card for scaffolding.
